~Home Sweet Home~

Ahhhh.... it feels sooooooo good to be back home in Lebanon! It feels so great! It seems that every time that we make it home it is at the beginning of the month. Which is really neither here nor there, except when I go to my home ward. I ALWAYS make it home for fast and testimony Sunday. You never really realize just how much you miss home until you go to your home ward. It is such an incredible feeling to be with the people who have been there with me from the beginning. I LOVE being home!!

I never really realize just how important home is to me until I get here and realize everything that I have missed out on and wish that I could do everyday. The family dinners, the laughs, hugs, the smells and yes, even the rain/hail! I love it all. That is why Friday will be bitter sweet for me. While I love being home, it isn't MY house, with MY things. So, I am kinda excited to get down to our new place so we can get a place to live and get out household goods delivered and start getting our new life off to a start.

So, here's to new beginnings! :)

Ft. Irwin here we come!!!

YES!!!! We finally got our orders! Woo Hoo!!! It is now official that we are heading off to Ft. Irwin, CA. Mat will start out processing this next week, then we head off to Oregon to spend a week with family before heading off to our new accommodations, all thanks to the new Mrs. Daily and all her hard work in preparing us a place that we can call home until we get into post housing. While I have to admit that I say I hate moving, I am really excited. I am ready for a change, and even more ready to be close to the Daily's again. We haven't seen them since their wedding back in July. It feels like it has been forever! I can't wait! I am more ready now than I ever have been to move. I want to be close to true friends once again. We have been through so much together in Germany that I look forward to the relationships that we will form at this next base. As well as for my chidren to get to know their new "cousin" whom will hopefully be joing us this next year!

As such is the Army

It seems as though so much has happened since my last blog. The main thing that I am wanting to vent about is the wonderful life of the Army wife! As you know we are waiting for orders... well we got word yesterday that yes, we are on assignment!!! Woo Hoo!!! How exciting! The only problem.... they are not planning on moving us until JANUARY!!!! UGH!!!! Are you kidding me!?!?!? The first issue with this is the fact that trying to drive over the pass between Oregon and California is horrible in the middle of winter. Second, Krystae is going to Pre-K in Washington and in California she will be going to kindergarden. That is almost half way though the school year. I don't want her to end up behind because we couldn't move on time. Another issue is that I have to start my externship for school in November. It is hard to find a location, let alone two different locations in two different states... ugh... I think that my life is destined to be stressful! And lastely is the shooting that occurred a week ago outside our front door. I was really hoping that we would be leaving this place sooner rather than later. Bullets flying past my kids bedroom windows is just a no go for me... sorry, can't handle that one! So, let's just keep praying that everything ends up getting itself worked out today! I mean I know that this life is a test. That I am being tested... but come on now... can't I get some sort of a brake here? I could really use some down time!

Awaiting Orders

Oops, we did it again! Lol. Mathew just reinlisted in the United States Army once again. Yeah, I know we said that we wouldn't do it again, but we felt like we had no other option at this time. Besides, another three years in the Army will allow me time to finish school and get 2 years experience before we move again. In the end we felt that this was the best decision for our little family!

Anyways, part of his re-enlistment contract was that we would be moving to Ft. Irwin, CA. For those of you who don't know, that is in the high Mojave desert way down in southern California. About an hour and a half east of LA and 4 hours west of Las Vegas. It will definentely be an adventure. I have never lived in this kind of an area before. I am definentely looking foreard to it!

Also part of the moving package will be the fun fact that Krystae will be allowed to enter into Kindergarten rather than being held back in pre-k in Washington. I think that this move will be great for all of us. Not to mention that we are gonna be moving close by our wonderful friends Tad and Mychella Daily!! Woo Hoo! The kids are equally excited to be able to see uncle Tad and Auntie Miki again!

Once we have the orders in hand I will give a better time line of the when and how's. Until then...
